The Seattle Bombers were an American football team based in Seattle , Washington .

history

The Seattle Bombers were the Northwest's premier professional football franchise. Founded in wartime, the bombers were members of the American Pro Football League (APFL). Owner of the club was Al Davies as head coach he could Earl Clark win. Davies and Clark put together a talented roster of players for the 1944 Bombers inaugural season that was heavily cast with former University of Washington stars including quarterback Dean McAdams and guard Steve Slivinski who also served as assistant coach. The Bombers played seven home games at Sick's Stadium , with the first home game in franchise history on September 8, 1944. This ended in a 7-12 loss to the Los Angeles Mustangs . The Bombers ended the season with a record of five wins, five losses and one draw. 1944 was the bombers' only season.
