Sebastian Baumgartner
Sebastian Baumgartner (born December 14, 1970 in Herdecke-Ruhr ) is a German inline speed skater .
Life
Sebastian Baumgartner is one of the most famous German speed skaters and has been practicing the sport since 1994. His strengths are primarily in the marathon area. In 1995 he contested his first race in California and has been an integral part of the skate scene in Europe ever since.
After his active professional time, he has been self- employed in the inline scene since 1997 . In addition to looking after his expert race team, he is the initiator of a Germany-wide series of workshops to teach speed skating techniques. Baumgartner has been organizing and supervising an annual training camp in Sardinia since 2000, where over 200 skaters from all over the world meet to improve their technique. Furthermore, Sebastian Baumgartner was and is active in the organization of several major inline skating events, as a moderator of the Berlin Marathon , as a supervisor for various inline teams and as the author of the inline books Richtig Fitness Skating, BLV Coach advises and Inline Guide .
