Sebastian Ertel
Sebastian Ertel (* around 1550/1560 in Mariazell , † 1618 in Garsten ) was an Austrian composer . Ertel is the oldest known composer in Styria .
Nothing is known of Ertel's youth and his musical training. Ertel's works are handwritten and some of them are in print. It is consistently sacred music in a simple, syllabic style for monastic practice.
