Sebastian Schrempp

Sebastian Schrempp (born 1978 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German local politician ( CDU ). Since March 1st, 2008 he has been Lord Mayor of Rheinstetten .

Life

Schrempp grew up in Rheinstetten. He studied technical economics at the University of Karlsruhe . He then worked as a personnel developer .

From 1996 Schrempp was initially a member of the youth community council in Rheinstetten. In 1999 he became a member of the Rheinstetten City Council as the first chairman of the Young Alternative Rheinstetten Association. In the local elections in 2004, the city council was elected with the most votes and from then on worked as deputy parliamentary group leader and financial policy spokesman in the CDU parliamentary group. In 2007 he ran for the mayoral election in Rheinstetten. On December 2, 2007 he won the election with 58.8 percent of the vote against the incumbent Gerhard Dietz and took office on March 1, 2008.

In the district council election in 2009 he moved into the district council on the list of the CDU, in the district council election in 2014 he was reappointed to the committee and was elected to the regional council of the Middle Upper Rhine region via the district council.

On December 6, 2015, he was elected Lord Mayor of Rheinstetten for another eight years with 95.32 percent of the vote.

Since 2017, Schrempp has represented several thousand CDU local politicians in North Baden in his role as district chairman of the Local Political Association (CDU) and member of the Baden-Württemberg state board.

With 15,069 votes, he received the most votes of all applicants in the Karlsruhe district in the 2019 district election. In 2019, Schrempp was elected chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Middle Upper Rhine regional association.

Schrempp is married and has three children.
