Six million was a six-part mini - television series of the ZDF from the year 1978 . Changing actors addressed social grievances in Germany in the individual episodes, each with a completed plot. After each episode, politicians and church representatives discussed possible solutions in the studio. The title Six Million referred to the number of those with incomes below the welfare needs rates . The program was broadcast every 14 days on Saturdays at 5:55 p.m.
