Nina Sedano

Nina Sedano (born February 19, 1966 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German author .

Life

Nina Sedano completed an apprenticeship as an office clerk in Wiesbaden, which she completed in 1988 with an IHK examination . She then worked for a credit card company in Frankfurt am Main for 14 years, the last 7 years of which as a group leader in the claims department. In addition to her work, she took part in further training to become a foreign language correspondent for English, which she completed in May 1994 with an examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce . In 2002 Nina Sedano quit her job and from then on devoted much of her time to traveling.

As »Die Ländersammlerin« she achieved fame throughout Germany. To date she is one of only 15 women worldwide who have managed to travel to all 193 states of the United Nations. To achieve this, Sedano traveled the world within 40 years, up to 2011. In the entire German-speaking area, she is the only one who has visited all 193 UN states, which four women have achieved in Europe so far. She has written down her travel experiences in several books. Her book Die Ländersammlerin stayed at number 2 in the KulturSPIEGEL paperback bestseller list for weeks in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, Die Ländersammlerin was on the KulturSPIEGEL paperback bestseller list in the non-fiction category for another 14 weeks. In addition to this title, a travel notebook was published. Her second book was published in April 2015 with the title Happy End: The Quiet Place of this World , in which she dedicates herself with humor to the cultural history of the quiet place and tells of her own experiences with the toilets of this world. Her latest book Fernweh im Herzen was published in May 2019 and describes further experiences of one of the most traveled women in Germany, who sets out on new travel adventures and inquires about the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
