Seeaualm

The Seeaualm is an alpine pasture in the Königssee forest district in the municipality of Schönau am Königssee .

The last preserved Kaser of the Seeaualm is under monument protection and is registered under the number D-1-72-132-106 in the Bavarian monument list.

There are only remnants of two other barracks. One was probably abandoned "before iron chains and iron rings came into use for cattle", another was in bad shape in 1953 and in 1981 was only a ruin.

Building description

The last preserved Kaser on the Seeaualm is a two-room Kaserstöckl in block construction , which was built in 1739. The Kaserstöckl was part of a former all-round barracks.

Todays use

Most of the Seeaualm buildings have fallen into disrepair, and the Gotzenalm has knocked over the pasture.

The Seeaualm is located in the Hagengebirge above the lake walls of the Königsee at an altitude of 1450  m above sea level. NN .
