Seebodenalp

The Seebodenalp is a terrace facing west of the Rigi at 1030 meters above sea level in the canton of Schwyz in Switzerland . It gives a clear view of the Küssnacht basin of Lake Lucerne , the city of Lucerne , the Pilatus and the Central Plateau . The Seebodenalp is part of the Schwyz Pre-Alps .

The Alp is accessible by a cable car from Küssnacht , and also with a freely navigable road from Küssnacht. A hotel with a restaurant, an alpine restaurant and a ski lift have been set up as tourist infrastructure. A dense network of hiking trails connects the Seebodenalp with the Rigi tourist region.

In the twenties and thirties of the last century, national motorcycle races took place on the Küssnacht – Seebodenalp route. This idea was taken up again in 2005 and since then this event with historic motorcycles has taken place every two years on two days in September.
