The Seefeldsee is located in the Sachsler Seefeld nature reserve at an altitude of 1821 m above sea level. M. above (south) the Älggi-Alp in the municipality of Sachseln in the canton of Obwalden . It has an area of 6.7 hectares. Trout , char , Namaycush and truffles are fished in it. Its outflow is the Älggibach. This flows from the Älggi-Alp in a north-westerly direction into the Kleine Melchtal and the Kleine Melchaa that flows there .
