geography

Location of the Seehof homestead

The Seehof is located about two kilometers northeast of Windischbuch. The district is drained by the Windischbucher Graben .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document as zum Sewe in 1408 . The place was owned by the Schöntal Monastery and was exchanged for the von Rosenberg at that time. The rulership relationships are subsequently comparable to those of Windischbuch . In 1535 the manor was still a Brandenburg fiefdom for the Rosenbergs and only became part of the Palatinate in 1561. In 1925 the own district was abolished.

The Seehof residential area came to the City of Boxberg on January 1, 1973 as part of the formerly independent community of Windischbuch.

traffic

The Seehöfer Straße (also K 2842) leads from Windischbuch to the eponymous residential area Seehof.
