Seestrasse 1 (Stralsund)
The house with the postal address Seestraße 1 is a listed building in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund on Seestraße .
The three-story house was built in 1902; it was part of the uniform harbor perimeter development. With its angled floor plan, it follows the course of the former ferry bastion .
The facade is plastered and rusticated on the ground floor , the upper floors are mostly made of brick . A polygonal bay window with a tail hood emphasizes the angled floor plan and divides the facade into a four-axis northern part to Seestrasse and a five-axis southern part to Fährstrasse. Both parts of the facade divided in this way are crowned by a dwelling in each of the left axes.
The house is located in the core area of the city area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 694.
The house is used as a residential building.
