The Ludwigshafen-Dannstadt glider airfield is a glider airfield in Dannstadt in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis in Rhineland-Palatinate .
Terrain and flight operations
The airfield is located about three kilometers southeast of Dannstadt, east of the A 61 , near the Dannstadt Ost motorway service station at an altitude of 96 m AMSL . It has a grass runway of 1200 × 50 m with the orientation 05/23.
The place is approved for the operating modes winch start , aircraft tow and motor glider .
Since July 2017, the airfield has also been approved for operation with microlight aircraft. Prior registration (PPR) by email or phone is currently required. The contact details are published on the SSV-Ludwigshafen website.
Resident associations
The two aviation clubs, Segelfluggruppe Giulini eV and Segelflugsportverein Ludwigshafen am Rhein eV use the space together. In July 2011 they hosted the Rhineland-Palatinate gliding championship together.
