The Reinheim glider airfield is located northeast of Reinheim in the Odenwald. It is a restricted airfield on which - except for competitions or other registered events - only club aircraft and members have a landing and take-off authorization. It is in the immediate vicinity of the Reinheimer Teich nature reserve and is operated by the Offenbach Reinheim eV Flugsportvereinigung . There is a petrol station and a correspondingly converted and painted VW bus serves as the tower . The club restaurant "Auszeit am Teich" is open all year round on public holidays and weekends.
The glider airfield was inaugurated on September 30, 1967. The association itself has existed at different locations since 1928. In 1969, the hall was inaugurated as part of a flight day . Two more extensions were added later: the clubhouse, in which the restaurant is located, and the workshop.
