The Schotten glider airfield is located in the Vogelsberg low mountain range on the edge of the Hoherodskopf mountain in the outskirts of the city of Schotten . The airfield is operated by the Aero Club Schotten .

Place data

Gliding , powered gliding and microlight flight are practiced and trained. The airfield is located at an altitude of 500  m above sea level. NN and has a main and a secondary slope. The main runway is 370 meters long and 30 meters wide. The gliders usually take off in winch mode , but aircraft towing is also possible.
