The summit cross section of the German Alpine Association (DAV) eV is the only section in the German Alpine Association that connects faith and mountain sports across denominations and across Germany. It is a German association based in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden and is one of the smallest sections of the German Alpine Association .

history

The association was founded on June 1st, 2019 at Hintersee in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden, and was accepted as a section by the DAV at the end of 2019. At the beginning of 2020, the first section members who were not part of the foundation were officially accepted. The members come from different mountaineering backgrounds as well as regions and (church) parishes in Germany.

The purpose of the section is to promote mountain sports - especially among spiritually open and devout people - to protect the original mountain world and to cultivate the bond with the Creator. In addition, alpine educational offers for personal development and spiritual development should be encouraged and motivated to take on responsibility in society.
