Gerhard (Gerry) Henrik Fredrik Eckhardt (born August 24, 1902 in Riga , Latvia , † 1984 ), was a Swedish visual artist .

Eckardt was the son of August Eckhardt and Antonie Heyer. He married Ingeborg Emilie Leser in 1944.

Eckhardt initially worked as a farmer and banker before studying art with Edward Berggren at Gottfrid Larsson's painting school in Stockholm from 1931 to 1932 . He later studied with Hans Cornelius and Akke Kumlien . He made study trips to Germany, Italy, France and the Balkans. He exhibited in the "Fahlkrantz" and "Galerie Modern" in Stockholm and took part in exhibitions with the Swedish Art Association.

His art consists of portraits and landscapes . Estonia is often shown in oil or as a woodcut . Eckhardt is represented in the National Museum , the Stockholm Postal Museum , the Östersund Museum , the Kalmar County Museum, the Göteborgs konstmuseum , the Eskilstuna Art Museum and the Västerås Art Museum , as well as in the collection of Gustav VI. Adolf , in the Turku Art Museum , in the Pinakothek in Munich and in the Livre d'Art in Brussels.
