Selecta is a song by the Dutch DJ and music producer Afrojack in collaboration with Quintino . The single was first available on May 16, 2011 on iTunes in the United States. The song was written by Afrojack and composed and produced by Quintino and Afrojack. It is included on the 2011 album “Superclub Ibiza”, a compilation of the four night clubs Cream , Pacha , Gatecrasher and Ministry of Sound , and is five minutes and 47 seconds long. A music video was not released.
Selecta was heard for the first time on May 2, 2011, the date the official audio version appeared on the Spinnin Records channel . The video had over a million views in November 2012. Critics took Selecta mixed up, the song only reached the charts in the Netherlands. The lyrics have no real meaning.

In the Nederlandse Top 100 , the Dutch charts, which also include airplay, Selecta reached 74th place. In total, the song stayed in these charts for seven weeks. It reached number 37 in the Nederlandse Top 40 , and the title stayed in this chart for three weeks.
criticism
The song received mixed reviews. Really Very's John Price said that it seemed like there was no imagination in the song, from the calm, boring beat to the predictable drop. Selecta would by no means be the worst song ever - but he would have expected more imagination from two people who could clearly produce better music than this product. The song got "very average" three stars from him. According to Martian from Soundlogik , Selecta would be another example of how Afrojack would always have done well with his house melodies and Dutch house drops. Recently, the song was an important part of his live shows, and as Afrojack it during Coachella " drop was" a large part of the audience went nuts.
