The Green Party (Bulgarian Зелена партия) is a party in Bulgaria . She represents ecological and leftist goals.
history
The party was founded on December 28, 1989 as the first new democratic party in Bulgaria after the political changes. Alexander Karakachanov became chairman. From 1991 to 1992 she was involved in the government. Since 2005 she was part of the coalition for Bulgaria led by the Bulgarian Socialist Party in government until 2009.
In 2009 and 2013 she did not take part in elections. It gave priority to the new ecological party " The Greens " (Зелените). In 2014 it achieved 0.2% (7,456 votes) in the parliamentary elections .
