The Greens ( Bulgarian Зелените , Selenite or Bulgarian Зелено движение , Seleno Dwischenie ) is a green - ecological party in Bulgaria .
history
The party was founded on May 18, 2008 in Sofia by members of various non-governmental environmental and human rights organizations. In this way, the organizations wanted to use political pressure to increase the willingness of the Bulgarian government to enter into dialogue and to establish green ideas more firmly in Bulgaria. Selenite also criticized the co-ruling Green Party (Зелена партия).
In 2014 it received around 0.6% (19,990 votes) in the parliamentary elections .

European Parliament elections 2009
For the first time, the party took part in the European elections in Bulgaria in 2009 and received the support of the European Green Party . In Bulgaria it achieved 18,444 votes, a share of 0.72%.
Parliamentary elections 2009
The party was also able to raise the necessary participation fee of around 25,000 euros for the 2009 parliamentary elections and took part in the elections. It received 21,841 votes (0.52%). The party thus missed the election target of 1% that it had set itself.
Electoral Alliance " Democratic Bulgaria "
In 2018 the party concluded with the parties Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria and Yes, Bulgaria! an electoral alliance. The alliance won a seat in the 2019 European Parliament elections.
