The Green Party (Georgian საქართველოს მწვანეთა პარტია Sakartwelos mzwaneta partia ) is a party in Georgia . She advocates ecological goals.

history

The party won 11 seats in the 1992 parliamentary elections. In 1995 she became a member of the government coalition. In 1999 she only achieved 0.5% of the vote in the parliamentary elections. In 2003 she was part of the planned coalition under Eduard Shevardnadze , but the election was declared invalid. In 2014 she did not run for the parliamentary elections with her own list, she supported the "dream coalition", of which her chairman Giorgi Gatchetschiladze became a member. In 2014 he left the coalition.

The party is a member of the European Green Party .
