Bulgarian New Democracy ( Bulgarian Българска нова демокрация Balgarska Nowa Demokrazija , БНД / BND for short) is a party in Bulgaria .

The BND was founded on December 5, 2007, initially as a parliamentary group in the Bulgarian parliament by 14 former members of the NDSW who were either expelled from the party or left it voluntarily. On May 11, 2008, they founded the BND party of the same name. One of the party's goals is to be a party of the regions. Nikolaj Swinarow , former defense minister in Simeon Sakskoburggotski's cabinet, was elected chairman of the BND .

Elections 2009

In the 2009 European elections , the party stood alone, but won only 0.45% with just 11,679 votes. She took part in the parliamentary elections on July 5, 2009 as part of the Blue Coalition .
