The early elections for the 43rd Narodno Sabranie took place on October 5, 2014.
Starting position
The Bulgarian parliament, paralyzed because of a party dispute over the increase in the state budget in 2014, was prematurely dissolved in August. After the resignation of the socialist-dominated Oresharsky government , all parties decided not to form a new cabinet.
