Party leader Nikolai Barekov

Bulgaria Reload ( Bulgarian Презареди БГ , Presaredi BG ), by 2017 Bulgaria Without Censorship ( България без цензура, ББЦ , Balgarija bes Zensura , BBZ ) is a right-wing populist party in Bulgaria . It was founded in January 2014 by the former TV presenter Nikolaj Barekow .

The party is named after a television program of the same name that Barekow presented from 2010 to summer 2013. In the European elections in May 2014 , she ran in an alliance with the nationalist IMRO and won 10.7% of the vote and two of the 17 Bulgarian seats, one of which went to BBZ and one to IMRO. The party leader Barekow moved into the European Parliament for BBZ, where he joined the Group of European Conservatives and Reformists (EKR).

Barekow and his party use nationalist and xenophobic resentments and rhetorically oppose the Turkish minority and the Roma . They attracted attention with contradicting demands such as the reintroduction of the monarchy and the renaming of the Republic of Bulgaria to "People's Republic" (as it was during the time of communist rule). For the Bulgarian parliamentary election in October 2014 , BBZ ran without an alliance partner and won 5.7% of the vote and 15 of the 240 seats in the National Assembly .

At the beginning of 2017, the party called itself Презареди БГ (" Reload Bulgaria"). The authorities initially refused to allow the party to participate in the parliamentary elections in March 2017 under the new name . Although a court overturned this decision, the party ultimately decided not to vote.
