Scream Aim Fire is the second studio album by the Welsh metal band Bullet for My Valentine . The album was produced by Colin Richardson and released worldwide on January 28, 2008; the only exception was the United States, where the album was released a day later.

Music genre

Like the previous album, the music album contains quieter melodies, such as Hearts Burst into Fire or Say Goodnight , but it also contains clear metal-oriented songs. Various e-zines compare the music style of the band on Scream Aim Fire with that of Metallica and Trivium . The texts deal, among other things, with school, love and other social problems typical of young people.

Singles and music videos

The title song Scream Aim Fire was released as the first single , which entered the top 20 of the US charts. A music video was shot for the song Waking the Demon , but the title was not released as a single. The second single was the song Hearts Burst into Fire , which was published during the band's tour of Great Britain ; the music video for the song is said to have been recorded at a concert, according to frontman Matthew Tuck.

The album made it into the top 5 of the charts in Germany , Austria , Great Britain, the USA , Australia , Finland and Sweden .

The feedback from the critics was mostly positive. The German edition of Metal Hammer named Scream Aim Fire album of the month. In his review, the reviewer described the music on Scream Aim Fire as "modern" but also "classic" and praised the softer titles on the release, among other things. The German website Metal.de was of a similar opinion . In addition to the “power ballad” Hearts Burst into Fire , the reviewer was delighted with the playing techniques and melodies on Scream Aim Fire . The songs Waking the Demon and Take It Out on Me received several critical acclaim . The latter was rated positively for playing guitar and singing.
