Seleukia (description Greek Seleukeia , Roman-Latin Seleucia ) means:

• a series of ancient places and cities that were re-founded, re-established and at the same time renamed or Hellenized by the Greeks after the collapse of the Alexander Empire, essentially in the Diadochi and later part of the Seleucid kingdom . At least five cities by name go back directly to Seleucus I Nicator .
