The Selimiye barracks ( Turkish Selimiye Kışlası ) is a barracks of the Turkish land forces in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul .

The barracks is named after Sultan Selim III. It was the central British military hospital in the Crimean War , in which Florence Nightingale also worked. It is currently the headquarters of the Turkish 1st Army .
