The Sella Bank AG , based in Lugano was one of the asset management specialist Swiss private bank . It was a subsidiary of the Banca Sella in Biella, founded in 1886 by the Italian Sella family .
In addition to its headquarters in Lugano, the Sella Bank , which focuses on private banking , has branches in Geneva and Zurich . Sella Bank had 32 employees and at the end of 2009 had total assets of 232.5 million francs and customer assets of just over 1 billion francs.
history
The bank was founded in 1982 under the name "IBZ Investment Bank" in Zurich. After Banca Sella initially acquired 15 percent of the share capital in 1987, it took over the majority of the shares at the end of 1994. In November 2001 the “IBZ Investment Bank” was renamed “Sella Bank AG”.
In 2010 the head office was relocated from Zurich to Lugano.
2013 Sella Bank AG was the Banca Privata Edmond de Rothschild Lugano SA merged .
