Selma Abrahamsson
Selma Sofia Abrahamsson (born July 12, 1872 in the rural community of Kokkola , † December 15, 1911 in Korpilahti ) was a Finnish-Swedish author . She published her works under the pseudonym Flavia .
Life
Abrahamsson grew up in the family of the worker Matts Kolander and his wife Greta Eriksdotter. In 1890 she married the worker Abraham Abrahamsson Rahkola. She worked as a teacher in a primary school in Nedervetil and Kaarlela. Under the pseudonym Flavia, she published poems, prose , plays and articles for various magazines. Her commitment as a champion of the women's and moderation movement was shown in the dramas Förbudslagen (1909), Julbrännvinet (1905) and Kärlek och politik (1912). She was also a board member of a local branch of the Swedish People's Party .
