Selman A. Waksman Award in Microbiology
The Selman A. Waksman Award in Microbiology is a science award given by the National Academy of Sciences of the United States , which recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of microbiology . It is named after the American biochemist and Nobel Prize winner Selman Abraham Waksman (1888–1973) and endowed with US $ 20,000 (as of 2019).
