Selve fountain
The Selve fountain is a fountain in Lüdenscheid . It is located in front of the old office building , was donated to the Lüdenscheid office by Fritz Selve and inaugurated on November 12, 1910. The fountain has been a listed building since 2003 .
The fountain was designed and made by the Italian sculptor Luigi Calderini . The sculpture depicts the father of the founder and founder of the Basse & Selve company , Hermann Dietrich Selve († November 11, 1881), as a blacksmith . The base shows various scenes as reliefs. On the back it bears the inscription:

born in Peddensiepen on January 20, 1849
since 1874 a citizen of Italy
dedicated this monumental
fountain, designed and made in Turin, his residence to
the Lüdenscheid office
Luigi Calderini also designed the mausoleum of Gustav Selve , Fritz Selve's brother.
