Selwyn Robert Pemberton (born October 13, 1928 in Cardiff , † May 2005 ibid) was a Welsh football player .
Career
Pemberton began around 1950 as an amateur in the Colt team of the AFC Newport County , for which he played over 40 games in the Welsh League . In 1952 he became a professional. To his only competitive game in the professional team came Pemberton in September 1952 on the occasion of a 1: 2 away defeat in the Third Division South against Leyton Orient , when he represented Len Staples on the right-back position .
In April 1953 he was next to Jimmy Donaldson , Billy Stroud , Beriah Moore and Bob Poynter one of five players who were put on the transfer list. He subsequently joined the Welsh club Pontllanfraith FC .
