Semih Terzi

Semih Terzi († July 15 or 16, 2016 in Ankara ) was a Turkish brigadier general .

coup attempt

With around 20 to 30 soldiers, he tried to occupy the headquarters of the army's special forces during the attempted coup in Turkey in 2016 , whereupon he was shot by the non-commissioned officer on duty.

After a Turkish military operation in Syria on August 24th, an informant from Turkish government circles said that in the run-up to the coup, Terzi had been actively involved in preventing such a military operation by Turkey in Syria against IS by him and other political officers Leadership repeatedly announced that the army did not have the capacity to conduct such an operation.
