Sennefer (high priest)

Sennefer ( Sn nfr ) was an ancient Egyptian priest. He was high priest of Ptah in Memphis and high priest in Heliopolis . He is known from various sources. There are two canopic jars of it, it appears on a stele from Sedment , on a sacrificial table and on a block from a grave in Saqqara , where many important people are called the Egyptian past. On the sacrificial tablet he is named together with the high priest of Ptah Pahemnetjer , the high priest of Herischef Paser, the priest Hetep and the general Ptahmai. No family relationships are given. From the stele from Sedment we learn that he had a daughter named Scheritre, who in turn was married to a priest of the Herischef. The exact dating of Sennefer is uncertain, he probably lived under Hatshepsut or Thutmose III.
