Sepp Steinhuber

Sepp Steinhuber (born March 14, 1925 in Graz ; † September 4, 1997 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and carpenter. Steinhuber was a member of the National Council from 1966 to 1984 .

After attending compulsory school, Steinhuber learned the carpentry trade and continued his education at the Volkswirtschaftsschule in Graz. He was a carpenter in the Graz plant of Simmering-Graz-Pauker AG and worked there as a workshop works council from 1949. Between 1953 and 1957 he was active as deputy works council chairman, in 1957 he was elected works council chairman. Steinhuber was also from 1975 chamber councilor of the chamber for workers and employees for Styria and was chairman of the control commission of the metal-mining-energy union . He represented the SPÖ from March 30, 1966 to January 20, 1984 in the National Council.
