Seppo Sakari Jokinen (* 13. April 1949 in Tampere ) is a Finnish bestseller - author .

Life

Jokinen was born in Tampere, southern Finland, in 1949, where he still lives today. His novel hero Sakari Koskinen also investigates there. After four years of military service, Jokinen worked for years in the IT field. He has been a freelance writer since 2006.

Above all, the crime series about Commissioner Sakari Koskinen made him famous in his home country. Nineteen episodes have appeared since 1996, and a twentieth is in progress. The character of the intuitive, spirited Commissioner Koskinen contributes a large part to the success of the novel series. For the sixth volume, Hukan enkelit , Jokinen received the Finnish Crime Award in 2002 . The book will be published in 2014 by Ars vivendi Verlag under the title Fallen Angels . In 2009 one of his novels had its premiere as a play at the Tampere Workers' Theater. His books are available (in the original language) as audio books and paperbacks.
