The SerCon GmbH (service concepts for Information Systems GmbH) was a German IT services company and a wholly owned subsidiary of IBM Germany GmbH .

SerCon GmbH (the name is an acronym formed from the English terms Service and Consulting ) was founded in 1992 as a joint venture between IBM Deutschland GmbH (46% share), Ploenzke AG (17%), Softlab GmbH (17%) and the Computer Task Group Inc. (17%) founded. IBM Deutschland GmbH has been the sole shareholder since 1994.

The company's headquarters were initially in Böblingen and later in Ehningen . In addition, SerCon GmbH had a low double-digit number of other branches in Germany.

In 2006 the company achieved a turnover of approx. 110 million euros with approx. 800 employees (figures according to Lünendonk list 2007).

As of June 30, 2008 SerCon GmbH ceased operations. Employees, executives and management have switched to various - partly newly founded - German IBM companies. The rights and obligations of the customer contracts in force at this point in time remain with the still existing SerCon GmbH. All new contracts, contract extensions or extensions will be negotiated and contracted immediately by IBM Deutschland GmbH.
