from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Klaus Christian Plönzke (born August 21, 1936 in Schwedt / Oder ) is a German entrepreneur in the IT industry.

life and career

Klaus Christian Plönzke grew up on a farm on the border with Denmark.

His professional career began in 1955 after graduating from vocational school as an employee of IBM Germany . There he worked as a system developer until 1969.

In November 1969 he went into business for himself by founding the EDV Studio Ploenzke .

In 1992 he converted the company into a stock corporation, Ploenzke AG . Under his leadership, the company developed into one of the leading IT consultancies in German-speaking countries with branches in Spain and Portugal. From 1995 to 1999, Plönzke gradually sold his company to the American Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). Until it was renamed CSC Deutschland Solutions GmbH on April 1, 2006, the sold AG was called CSC Ploenzke AG . In 1999 he gave up the chairmanship of CSC Ploenzke AG as planned.

Plönzke is the initiator of the founding initiative "Forum Kiedrich" founded on April 6, 1997. The aim is to pass on experience to young entrepreneurs under the motto Who demands must promote . The Forum Kiedrich GmbH , which is under the patronage of the Hessian Minister for Economics, Transport and Regional Development and whose partner and chairman of the board is Plönzke, emerged from the forum .

In parallel to the final sale of his company, he founded Plönzke Holding AG in March 1999 , with which he quickly invested in many companies with venture capital .

In 2000 he initiated the Plönzke network and founded alego AG , among others with former employees of SerCon GmbH. In 2003 alego was renamed Pluralis AG . The attempt to place the companies alego AG and eracon AG on the market under the name Ploenzke & Company in 2003 was stopped by CSC Ploenzke AG because of the naming rights. In 2004 the Swiss IMPAQ Group took a majority stake in Pluralis Wiesbaden AG and merged it to form Impaq-Pluralis AG . Pluralis Mainz (formerly eracon AG) took over the management there.

In 2007 Plönzke founded Horse Media Solutions GmbH. The media company operates the Internet platform ClipMyHorse.de and is the market leader in the field of live broadcasts of equestrian sports and breeding events in Germany.
