Cirquent was a German IT consulting company . It was renamed NTT Data Germany on April 1, 2012 and is now part of the global IT service provider NTT DATA . Since the end of September 2008, Cirquent has owned 72.9% of NTT Data , a subsidiary of NTT from Japan and 25.1% of the BMW Group . Cirquent emerged from the Softlab Group. The company became one of the leading German consulting firms through acquisitions and the founding of companies, and at times it was among the top ten on the Lünendonk list .

Cirquent had its headquarters in Munich and four other locations (Frankfurt, Ettlingen, Cologne and Hamburg) in Germany and had branches in Austria, Switzerland and the UK. Cirquent offered consulting for automotive , banking, insurance, telecommunications and manufacturing companies. There was also the operation and maintenance of IT systems .

From April 1, 2012, Cirquent was gradually merged with its European sister companies Keane, Intelligroup and Value Team under the NTT Data brand .

Origin of the company name Cirquent

The name Cirquent was a suitcase word and was derived from the words Circle and consequently . The syllable “Cir” (from the word Circle) should stand for the holistic understanding of customer solutions, the second syllable “quent” (from the word consequent) for unconditional and consistent customer focus.

Cirquent Austria

In 1982 what was then Softlab started with only five employees in Vienna. The core business was the Maestro integrated development environment. In the 1990s, Softlab's focus was on IT service management, which was particularly popular with telecommunication providers. In 2005 the merger with the IT consulting company Anite took place. This enabled Softlab to double the number of employees in the consulting and project business. A service partnership with SAP has existed since January 2007 . On January 1, 2008, Softlab was renamed Cirquent.

Cirquent Switzerland

Cirquent AG Switzerland was an independent stock corporation, founded in 1992 as Softlab AG and renamed Cirquent AG on January 1, 2008. The company had its headquarters in Opfikon-Glattbrugg near Zurich and a branch in Bern. Cirquent AG was a 100% subsidiary of the German IT consultant Cirquent GmbH. Cirquent Switzerland advised banks, insurance companies, public services and administrations, energy suppliers as well as telecommunications and service companies on the topics of core banking (core banking solutions), customer management and IT security.
