Serafima Markovna Ljuljakina ( Russian Серафима Марковна Люлякина * 29 July 1922 in Nischnejagodnoje, Samara Oblast , Soviet Union , † 17 January 1993 in Yagodnoye, Russia ) was a Mordvinian composer , poet and storyteller in ersjanischer language . In 1992 she received the State Prize of the Republic of Mordovia .

Life

Serafima Markovna was born in 1922 in the village of Nizhnejagodnoje (Нижнеягодное near Podbelsk, today in Pochwistnewo Raion ) in Samara Oblast. She came from a poor farming family and had three brothers. Attending school was only possible up to the fifth grade, although she was very gifted. She worked in a collective farm , got married and raised her children.

Serafima Markovna belonged to the people of Erzya , which even to the Finno-Ugric Volga Finns belong. She was very musical and learned many songs and folk tales from her grandmother Anisja Efimovna, who lived for 105 years and was known as a narrator in Samara Oblast.

Since her youth, Serafima Markovna knew a lot of songs, improvised little pieces and tried to compose himself. Some of her songs and poems were published in regional or district newspapers. They later appeared as parts of compilations and were broadcast on radio and television, but also performed on stages in Moscow, Estonia and Finland . After her first book came out in 1982, Serafima Markovna was able to publish a number of books until her death. For a while she was also the artistic director of the village house of culture .

After winning several competitions at the amateur level, Serafima Markovna received a number of state awards: Merited Cultural Worker of the Mordovian ASSR (1990), winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Mordovia and Award of the Mordovian Komsomol (1992).

Serafima Markovna Ljuljakina, mother of seven children, died of cancer on January 17, 1993 in Jagodnoye. She was buried in her home village.
