Serena Armitage

Serena Armitage (* 1981/1982) is a British producer for film and television.

Life

Armitage grew up in Ryedale and studied British literature at the University of Edinburgh from 2000 . She graduated with a master's degree in 2004. During her studies she developed an interest in film and began making her own films and videos. She took her first steps in television as a set runner .

She started working for ITV in advertising in 2005 and later became a producer of various television formats, including Piers Morgan ’s Life Stories , Paul O'Grady : For The Love Of Dogs and, from 2011 to 2015, the television format Come Dine With Me on its The concept of the show The Perfect Dinner is based. In 2014 she founded the production company Bare Golly Films with Shan Christopher Ogilvie, which produced Benjamin Cleary's short film Stutterer in 2015 . Armitage was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Short Film for Stutterer together with Cleary in 2016 .

Armitage, like Cleary and Ogilvie, lives in Hackney .
