from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Serge Alinhac (* 1948 ) is a French mathematician who studies partial differential equations.

Alinhac received his doctorate in 1975 from the University of Paris-Süd in Orsay under Charles Goulaouic ( Problèmes de Propagations Hyperboliques Singuliers ). He taught at the University of Paris VII (Denis Diderot) and Purdue University before becoming a professor at the University of Paris-South in 1978.
