Sergei Alexandrowitsch Fokin ( Russian Сергей Александрович Фокин ; born July 26, 1961 in Ulyanovsk ) is a former football player of Russian origin living in Germany .
Fokin is 1.82 m tall and weighed 78 kg during his playing days. He played as a defender for CSKA Moscow and was used in various Soviet selection teams. At the 1988 Olympic football tournament in South Korea, he won the gold medal with the USSR team. At the soccer World Cup in Italy in 1990 he was in the squad of the USSR .
In 1992 he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for Eintracht Braunschweig . There he played - still mostly in the position of a defender - in the second or third highest German division. He played for Eintracht Braunschweig until he ended his active career in 1999. He then stayed in Germany and lives with his family near Braunschweig.
