Sergei Alexandrowitsch Krylov ( Russian Сергей Александрович Крылов , scientific transliteration Sergej Aleksandrovič Krylov ; born  December 2, 1970 in Moscow ) is a Russian violinist .

Life

Born in Moscow to a family of musicians, Krylov began studying the violin at the age of five and gave his first concert a year later. At the age of ten, he made his orchestral debut and made his first concert tours through Russia, China, Poland, Finland and Germany. In 1987 he recorded the Mozart concerto KV 219 for Soviet radio and television.

After further studies under Salvatore Accardo , Krylow began an international career.

Concerts

He has given concerts in the Berlin and Munich Philharmonic, the Musikverein and Konzerthaus Wien, Auditorium Radio France in Paris, Megaron Center in Athens, the Suntory Hall Tokyo, the Santander and Granada Festival, the Prague Spring Festival, and the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires and at La Scala in Milan.

He worked with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the English Chamber Orchestra , St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Camerata Academica Salzburg, the orchestra “G. Verdi ”in Milan, NHK Tokyo, the Czech Philharmonic, the Orchestra Filarmonica di Parma and the Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg. Of all the encounters during his artistic career, the collaboration and friendship with Mstislav Rostropovich was one of the most important.

Awards

  • First prize in the international competition “R. Lipizer ” .
  • First prize in the “A. Stradivari ” in Cremona and“ Fritz Kreisler ”in Vienna.
