Sergei Viktorovich Yekimov

Sergei Wiktorowitsch Yekimow ( Russian Сергей Викторович Екимов ; born May 30, 1974 in Leningrad ) is a Russian composer.

The son of two music teachers had music lessons from the age of five. After graduating from the Moscow Children's Music School, he studied conducting at the Rimsky-Korsakov Music Institute until 1993 and choral conducting and composition with Yuri Alexandrowitsch Falik until 1998 at the St. Petersburg Conservatory . At the conservatory he led the youth chamber choir and later the women's choir. He composed choral works, chamber music, works for organ and piano and vocal works for children and arranged Russian folk music. His compositions have been performed at concerts and festivals in Russia, Latvia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, the USA and Japan, broadcast on Russian radio and recorded on CD.
