Sergio Antonio del Rio (born September 13, 1956 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is an Argentine pianist and composer who lives in Germany and works as a piano teacher.

Life

Del Rio took his first piano lessons at the age of eight, and while at school he attended the conservatory in his hometown of Buenos Aires . There he took the exam as a piano teacher and then continued his training with Francisco Votti, the pianist of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Teatro Colón , with the pianist and music philosopher Elsa Berner, with the Austrian exile Guillermo Graetzer (Wilhelm Grätzer) and with his student Guillermo Nicholson. This gave him a job with the Radio Nacional in Buenos Aires. There he designed his own music program as an editor. In addition, he also earned money as a piano teacher.

In 1985 he came to Germany, where he still works as a piano teacher today. As a pianist, he repeatedly appears for private companies as well as at various public events, such as B. Vernissages or smaller concerts in ballrooms as well as in restaurants and coffee houses. Some of his compositions have been published.
