Bravo began his professional career in the Mexican Liga Mayor at Real Club España , for which he has been proven to have played since 1947. After his retirement from professional football , he moved to Club León , with which he was Mexican champions in 1952 and 1956 and with which he was under contract at least until the summer of 1957.

National team

Sergio Bravo made his debut in the Mexican national team on July 13, 1947 in a game against arch-rivals USA, which was won 5-0. His eleventh and last international match he completed in a World Cup qualifying match against Canada on July 3, 1957 , which "el Tri" won 2-0.

The highlight of his national team career was his appointment to the Mexican World Cup squad in 1954 , where he did not get beyond the role of a reservist.
