Else Bindewald
Else Bindewald (* unknown; † February 10, 1921 ) was a German nurse. She was one of the first victims of the medical application of X-rays .
Life
Else Bindewald worked at the Clinic for Gynecology at the University Hospital in Erlangen from April 1, 1914 , where she was the first female X-ray assistant . She was considered a confidante of the chief physician Ludwig Seitz and was at least once involved with the calibration of an X-ray facility in an external radiation institute.
Else Bindewald died of "severe blood damage that she suffered from working with X-rays for years."
