Sergio Fernández González (born May 23, 1977 in Avilés ) is a Spanish football player .
Coming from the youth of Sporting Gijón , the native Asturian made his way into the first team there. He became a regular player at a young age. This did not escape the traditional Galician club Celta Vigo , whereupon he was signed by the Galicians in 1999. For a professional footballer he spent 7 years in northwest Spain.
