from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term service packaging summarizes all types of packaging that are used in retail to pack the goods for the customer .

definition

Service packaging is sales packaging and therefore not transport packaging. According to the Packaging Ordinance VerpackV §3 Definitions, this is clear: Sales packaging is “... packaging that is offered as a sales unit and is incurred by the end user. Sales packaging within the meaning of the ordinance is also packaging for retail, catering and other service providers that enable or support the handover of goods to the end consumer (service packaging) as well as disposable tableware. Packaging takes place immediately before the goods are handed over at the point of sale . The LAGA Committee for Product Responsibility (APV) decided in 2008 that shipping packaging is not service packaging.
