The mountain Pacha Kkollu Quimsa Misa (also Pacha Qullu Kimsa Misa ) lies on the western edge of the Altiplano and is part of the Andean high mountain range of the Cordillera Occidental in Bolivia .
The Pacha Kkollu Quimsa Misa has a height of 4702 m and, together with the Inca Camacho (4792 m), forms a double peak that protrudes from the 3,700 m high plateau. The mountain is located about 100 km west of Lake Poopó and 40 km north of Salar de Coipasa , the largest town on Pacha Kkollu Quimsa Misa is the rural town of Huachacalla with 2,025 inhabitants (2010 update) on its western edge.
The Pacha Kkollu Quimsa Misa is a stratovolcano whose formation is believed to have occurred in the Quaternary , i.e. within the last two million years or so.
